Accessibility Statement

Palmer Shore is committed to making palmershore.com accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as an ongoing commitment rather than a one-off task.

Conformance status

This website has been aligned with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and EN 301 549 as applicable to web content, based on automated testing (axe-core and Lighthouse), manual keyboard testing, browser inspection and a review of representative page templates. We do not claim full or guaranteed conformance, and some third-party or dynamically generated content may fall short in places.

What we’ve done

Measures in place to support accessibility include:

  • Semantic structure, a single main heading per page and a logical heading order.
  • Descriptive, meaningful text alternatives and link names.
  • Form fields with clear labels and appropriate input-purpose (autocomplete) hints.
  • A clearly visible keyboard focus indicator on all interactive elements.
  • Colour combinations checked to meet AA contrast, and an on-page accessibility toolbar.
  • Respect for the “reduced motion” browser setting, including pausing background video.
  • Correct ARIA roles on listings and interactive components.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations may remain. In particular:

  • Downloadable documents (such as PDF handbooks) are produced at source and may not yet be fully accessible. We are happy to provide the information in an alternative format on request.
  • Automated testing cannot catch every issue; we recommend testing with assistive technologies for full assurance and welcome feedback from users of assistive technology.
